Urban Design Solutions for Ameliorating Urban Heat Island Effect in Townsville, Queensland

Along with Professor Karine Dupre from Griffith University, and in collaboration with Townsville City Council, we are undertaking a research project investigating urban microclimates in Townsville (Queensland, Australia).

Townsville has been identified as a city vulnerable to Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. The objective of this study is to identify possible solutions to mitigate UHI and other undesirable climate change-related impacts. This will assist in the development of possible alternative urban design futures.

Participants in this survey are residents of Townsville for at least two years who are 18 years old or older.

The research project follows appropriate ethics protocols including ensuring anonymity.

The survey is available here: https://lnkd.in/gdxwAiqh

If you are aware of anybody who could also respond to this survey, please forward this post to them.

Many thanks for considering taking part in this study!
