Twitter for Academics Workshop
Today Lincoln University (@LincolnUniNZ) is running a workshop for academics that will discuss what Twitter is, why it’s important and how to tweet. If you are on campus today, you are welcome to join us 3.30-4.30pm (NZST) in the Stewart Building (S3). If you are not around, please join the conversation on #LUtweet at the same time.
A few weeks ago I wrote about my perceptions of Twitter for academics. The colleagues I mentioned then will be on the panel with me (@silgtavares) today: Rob Cruickshank (@bugblokenz), Victoria Metcalf (@VicMetcalf_NZ), Glen Creasy (@sabrosiavit), Ken Hughey (@Kentabury), Alana Harrison (@alanaharrison).
What to bring: your phone, tablet, or laptop and an open mind
Prep: Go to twitter.com and create an account
Super prep: Install the twitter app on your mobile device or phone (we can show you on the day)
Hope you can join us here at the University or virtually on Twitter.
